One of my favorite Mets as a kid, Lee Mazzilli, was drafted by the Tigers. Willie Wilson was drafted by the Dodgers. I bet he would have been great patrolling Chavez Ravine. Pete Vuckovic was drafted by the Yankees. Pete was also a member of the Yankees in the movie Major League, when he played slugger Clu Hayward.
