Walkers news: May 14 -- Cedar Rapids 7, St. Louis 1

Record: 16-19, 4th (tied/w. Des Moines), 5.5 GB Springfield
Former St. Louis pitcher Trevor Bauer took a no-hitter into the sixth inning and Cedar Rapids rolled to a 7-1 win over St. Louis a Shibe Park (1949).
The River Walkers first hit didn't come until Adeiny Hechavarria connected for a one-out single off Bauer in the top of the sixth.
By that time, Cedar Rapids already owned a 4-0 lead.
The Golden Grapplers struck early with a pair of runs in the first off St. Louis starting pitcher Danny Duffy.
Victor Robles drew a lead-off walk. A single by Alex Bregman moved him to second.
A Wilson Ramos single scored Robles. A Yoan Mocada fly ball later chased home Bregman.
Robles was in on the Grapplers next run in the second. He singled with one out. He stole second and scored on a Bregman single.
Joc Pederson hit a solo homer off Duffy in the third, pushing it to 4-0.
Cedar Rapids got its final three runs in the seventh against the St. Louis bullpen.
Bauer went 6.1 innings, allowing just two hits. He struck out nine and walked one.
Jacob Rhame finished off the final two outs of the seventh inning.
The eighth and ninth belonged to David Cullison, who surrendered a meaningless run.
