Out of the last 50 Super Bowls it happened 25 times. I did not look at the AFL VS NFL games. I just used SBs after the merger. But yeah, that number even surprised me. Whenever you hear someone make a prediction it never includes a team that didn't make the playoffs yet it happens 50% of the time.
10 times so far this century. 4 times in the 90s. 7 times in the 80s and 4 times in the 70s.
