I’ve been in online leagues of all sorts of games including ootp since around 2004. Haven’t played the newest ootp much but it won’t take long to get adjusted.

Not really, unless it’s minor/rare/flexible.

I’ve been in some iconic leagues and some flops. Time is valuable as I have a family, so I would strongly prefer a strong, established league as I don’t want to waste time with a league that folds after I invest the time to get going.
