IRL wasn’t the winter of 85-86 one of the collusion years? I’m all but positive that 86-87 was. Anyway that’s probably why you don’t see Dave Stieb or Harold Baines on the market then the way they were in game. It’s hard to fault the Royals too much for not going after players when they were told not to... anyway, they also made probably the biggest splash signing of ‘86 when they signed Bo Jackson.
