From the July 31 issue of The Barnsley Earwigger....The EBU released their top ten: 1) Raymond Berenger; 2) Roberto Damiani; 3) Ludwig Schuhmann; 4) Bjarni Thorsen; 5) Joe Beckett; 6) Gunner Moir; 7) Jack Palmer; 8) Francois Marchand; 9) Jack Scales; 10) Battling Ed Corcoran....John L Gardner travelled to IBU headquarters in Brussels where he was presented with a newly crafted championship belt to replace the one stolen from his hotel room....Raymond Berenger wired the EBU to inform them he'd be remaining in Canada for the rest of the year to fulfill the remainder of his contract with Montreal promoter Armand Bibaud....
