Walkers news: April 19 -- St. Louis 8, Rockford 6

Record: 9-4, 1st, 1.5 GA Springfield
Getting a start in his first game after being called up from AAA Memphis, Christian Arroyo went 4 for 5 with a two doubles, a homer, two runs scored and four RBIs as the St. Louis River Walkers posted an 8-6 win over the Rockford Lightning at RFK Stadium.
With the win, St. Louis took three of four games in the series.
Arroyo singled and scored a run that tied the game 1-1 in the second inning. He had an RBI double in the third which put St. Louis up 3-1.

His two-run double off reliever Brad Brach in the third inning made it 7-3.
After Rockford had pulled to within 7-7, his solo homer off Jimmy Sherfy provided a little insurance and proved to be the game's final run.
It was a rocky outing for Walkers starting pitcher Danny Duffy, who allowed six runs on seven hits in just 5.2 innings.
Five relievers -- John Curtiss (0.1 IP), Jake Diekman (0.0), Phil Maton (0.2), Bobby Poyner (1.2) and Reyes Montora (1.0) -- combined to limit the Lightning to a single run over the final 3.1 innings.
Rockford starter David Price also had an even rougher outing. He was torched for 7 runs on seven hits in just 3.1 innings.
