We are in Seattle to play a 2 game series. The Rainiers won 2 of 3 here over the weekend from the Angels. We are 0-2 against them on the season, losing 2 games here on April 15 and 16. We were outscored in the 2 games, 15 to 1. They are 15th in scoring in the PCL with 3.55 runs per game (Portland is last with 3.35). They are 8th in fewest runs allowed with 4.09 per game (Portland is down to 9th with 4.11). Their run differential is -30 and ours is -43, even though we are 4.5 games above them in the standings.

Jose Julio swings at the first pitch and grounds a hit up the middle. Esteban Mondolfo stands there and watches three strikes go by.... He gets the next ticket to Vancouver (A) if he does nothing today... Fernando Martinez grounds out to 2nd and Julio moves up. Glenn Snowden strikes out...
Bottom of the First:
Dan McKee lines a hit to left. He steals 2nd. Adam Carter grounds out to the pitcher and McKee goes to 3rd. Luis Hernandez, the ex-Beaver, flies out to right and McKee tags up and gets himself thrown out by Jose Julio!!
Top of the Fourth:
Fernando Martinez leads off with a line drive to right for a hit. Glenn Snowden hits a home run to left center!! 2 to 0, Beavers!
Bottom of the Sixth:
With 1 out, Adam Carter triples down the right field line. With the infield in, Luis Hernandez grounds out to short and the runner holds. Mike McGhee draws a walk. Carlos Lopez flies out to left!!
Top of the Seventh:
Fernando Mexicano grounds a single to center and Shannon Kuchta beats out an infield hit. Jim Shippy swings at a 3-2 pitch and strikes out. I think his magic is fading.... Juan Rojas strikes out... P Frank Flores grounds out to 2nd.
Top of the Eighth:
Jose Julio grounds out to short and they make a pitching change: Victor Alvarez (28-L) with a 5.47 ERA in 24.2 IP. Esteban Mondolfo lines a hit to left and saves his job for now. Fernando Martinez doubles to left center. They walk Glenn Snowden intentionally to load the bases for Fernando Mexicano. He strikes out looking... Shannon Kuchta swings at the first pitch and grounds out to 1st, unassisted....
Top of the Ninth:
New Pitcher: Jesse Borley (34-R), their closer with a 2.42 ERA in 26 IP. Jim Shippy lines a hit to left. Juan Rojas grounds out to short and Shippy goes to 2nd. With 2 outs, Jose Julio skies one to deep right. Chris Simpson has a bead on it on the warning track, but he drops the ball and Shippy scores! Julio ends up on 2nd. 3 to 0, Beavers! Esteban Mondolfo beats out an infield hit. Fernando Martinez swings at the first pitch and lines a home run to left!!! His first as a Beaver! 6 to 0, Beavers!

A pair of doubles blew the shutout for P Frank Flores in the 9th.
We had 12 hits and made no errors

Jamie Ladnier (L 5-3) went 7.1 innings, gave us 2 runs, 7 hits, 1 home run, 1 walk and struck out 6.
RF/LF Jose Julio had 2 hits and scored a run. CF Esteban Mondolfo had 2 hits and scored a run. LF Fernando Martinez had 3 hits with a double and his 16th home run of the season (1st as a Beaver), scored 2 runs and had 3 RBI. 1B Glenn Snowden hit his 15th home run, drew a walk (INT) and had 2 RBI. Fernando Mexicano had 2 hits.
