In Memoriam: Salem Red Sox
All Time Record: 2697-2796 (.491)
Best Season: 2028, 93-69, 30th place
Best Hitter: Danny Saling (2037-2045)
A 2037 first rounder, Saling debuted briefly at the end of that season, and was named the league's #11 prospect a year later. Saling was known especially for his eye, walking a league leading 177 times in 2043. He signed with the Yankees in 2046, and he currently plays right field for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Best Pitcher: Jon Soliz (2041-2051)
Soliz was acquired as a prospect from the Diamondbacks in 2039 in exchange for ace Gilberto Paz. Soliz never reached the 5.6 WAR Paz was worth in his season in Arizona, but he was a workhorse, starting 30+ games in each of the last nine seasons. He will be a free agent in 2053, when he will be able to rejoin the league.
