This is the third straight season
Montreal will play
New York in the Stanley Cup. The previous two matchups were split, so lets call this the rubber match.
The
Rangers are stacked.
Max Bentley centers their 2nd line, and had 72 points.
Bill Quackenbush might have set a defense record for points in a season with 52. I say might of because im not that sure of if that’s tracked and I haven’t checked to thoroughly yet.
Montreal has a dynamic scoring line of
Woody Dumart,
Howie Meeker and
Ted Lindsay, but as talented as that group is, they aren’t that close to what the
Rangers can do. I’m wondering what
NY will do for goaltending if rookie
Jack Gelineau, falters…..
