Seth Molly was a lifelong (Woolwich) Arsenal Gunner who bounced up and down between the League (five seasons) and the Central (eight seasons) along with the club themselves. Despite a slow start and some down seasons, he was a gregarious regular guy who became a fairly popular player locally (especially in the pubs of Holloway). Molloy had good speed, gap power and defensive chops, winning two Fieldsman of the Year awards for his work in left field. In terms of real life comps, his career is probably closest to that of
Mike Menosky's
Along with many others of his era, Molloy was forced to retire because of wounds suffered in battle during the Great War.
