Arizona Coyotes (20-36-6) at Montreal Canadiens (35-23-3)

The Coyotes come to the Bell Center and the Habs would like to get payback after an embarassing 5-1 loss to the Coyotes last time the teams met. Montreal is looking for LW Batsaikhany Vanoosten to break the slump, he has 1 assist in his last 9 games, despite being a + 1 player in those games. Vanoosten had 45 points in 80-81, 43 points in 81-82 and has only 19 so far this season. Montreal has recalled G Richard Day to face the Coyotes on back to back nights. Day has 26 wins with a 2.33 GAA and .916 save % in 43 AHL games this year.

Arizona is dead last in the West with 46 points. A strength of the team is they are ranked 9th on the PK with a 86.9% kill rate. This team just simply cannot score, they are 30th in the league with 2.03 goals per game.

Last year in his rookie season, he had 4 goals and 31 points in 63 games. He finished junior with the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL and was drafted in the 1st round, 6th overall by the Coyotes in the 1981 NHL Entry Draft.

The Coyotes will start G Paul Dean, he has 14 wins in 46 starts with a .918 save %. Montreal starts G Richard Day, he has 4 wins in 6 starts with a .929 save %.
