After a September cup of coffee with Cincinnati in 1958, VADA PINSON with over. .300 four times in seven seasons through 1965, but he never reached .290 again in the final 10 years of his career (1966 to 1975). Pinson was a very good hitter, getting over 2,750 hits, but he's not quite in the Hall Of Fame class. However, he and Frank Robinson formed a mighty 1-2 punch, with them hitting in the 3 (Pinson) and 4 (Robinson hitting clean up) slots for almost a decade in their glory days with the Reds.
