Life Imitates Art - JD. Hammer makes a successful major leagues debut for the Phillies
JD Hammer makes his major league debut (Sunday, May 26) a successful one. He faces the heart of the Milwaukee
Brewers' lineup and gets Christian Yelich to line out to right field, gets Ryan Braun to line out to left field,
before striking out Mike Moustakas.
With his signature Geek-Glasses and upper 90s fastball, throughout his minor league career,
the 24-year-old has drawn comparisons to the Charlie Sheen reliever character in the 1989 baseball comedy classic,
"Major League". Upon reaching the majors, those comparisons should only intensify.
