Paris at Nice
The Artists traveled to the southern most part of the island to visit the Nice Orchids. Amid the Mediterranean vista, the teams played three games.
The Orchids stormed out to a two games to zero advantage when Fares Haas doubled in the winning run in the 10th inning giving Nice the 3-2 win. Having won the opener 7-2 behind Alix Billard (7-2) the Orchids closed the gap to 4 games, the smallest margin in some time.
The final game was essentially decided when Johan Girard lines his second dinger of the year into the right field seats scoring Herve Delage. The Artists won it 4-1 when Gerard Gallet retired the side in order. Gallet, the free agent signee from Cap Chevalier, has allowed 1 run in 24 innings! His WHIP is 0.58. It was 8 games ago that he allowed his last hit. None of his outings have been less than a full inning.
