Walkers news: May 27 -- St. Louis 8, Springfield 6

Record: 29-14, 1st, 4.5 GA Springfield
Tanner Kohlhepp hit a two-run homer and Jared Thomas a solo shot in the top of the 15th inning to lift St. Louiis to an 8-6 win over Springfield at Olympic Stadium (Montreal).
Tied at 5-5, Jean Carmona got things going in the top of the 15th with a

one-out single off Mark McConnell.
After Andrew Benintendi hit into a fielder's choice, with Carmona being eliminated at second, Kohlhepp hit a 1-0 pitch from McConnell 421 feet over the fence in left-center field.
Thomas followed with a 415-foot shot to right-center, making it 8-5.
The Prairie Fighters did get a run in the bottom of the 15th after Andres Gimenez led off with a double off John Curtiss and scored when Riley Greene grounded out for the second out.
Curtis followed that by striking out Franmil Reyes to end it.
The game featured a bundle of early offense before settling into a span of nine scoreless innings.
Springfield jumped out to a 4-1 lead by scoring twice in both the first and third innings.
River Walkers starter Adonis Medina failed to retire a batter allowing four straight to reach before exiting with an undisclosed injury.
St. Louis roared back to take the lead with four runs in the top of the fifth.
Edmond Americaan and Alek Thomas both had RBI doubles off Fighters starter Jared Kelley before Caroma hit a two-run homer.
Springfield tied it at 5-5 in the bottom of the inning against reliever Dan Jennings.
Victor Caratini led off with a single off reliever Dan Jennings, and after a pair of walks the bases were loaded.
Caratini scored when Odubel Herrera hit into a fielder's choice.
But that was all Springfield would get as Jennings retired the next two hitters.
After Medina exited, Nick Lodolo took the mound and would handle the first 3.2 innings.
Tim Hill finished the fourth for the Walkers.
Six more pitchers took the mound after Hill's short stint -- Jennings (2.0 IP), Danny Grigg (1.2), Jake Brentz (0.1), Edwin Diaz (2.0), Luis Polomo (3.0) and Curtiss (3-0) -- with Curtiss coming out of it with the win.
