Oakland Athletics CF George Hendrick was demoted to AAA Iowa after a short cup of coffee with the A's. The 21 year old is hitting .143 with 0 HRs and 1 RBI in just 6 games so far. Hendrick was named the MLB's #15th prospect in April 1971. Although Hendrick's first love was basketball, the 6'3" frame was first noticed by the player of development for the Mets, Whitey Herzog.
