Regular Season | Sept - Dec 2017| Outlook:

Players
(+) Kovalchuk's offense is a big reason the Bulldogs are still climbing up in the standings. Currently on pace for an 80pt returning season to the NHL. He Currently has (G:13, A:25, PTS:38) in all 38 games played this season. Out of those 38pts, he's collected 12 of them on the power play. (G:1, A:11). He ties with Cody Eakin's for the most GWG's with 4.
(+) Speaking of Cody Eakin's, he continues to produce. For many that wouldn't think much of this guy, he's turning heads it seems as he has collected 25pts in 35 games. (G:15, A:10). He leads the team in goals which if you asked anyone at the beginning of the year, no one would have predicted that and is the third highest points getter on the team. He's one point away from tying last season's 26pts in 82 games with the Dallas Starts.
(+) Defensively this team has come together. Luke Schenn and Simon Despres seem to be getting more of the minutes with good reason, but the quiet lurker in the bunch is Adam Larsson. He averages the 2nd least minutes of all defence men (#1 is Michael Stone bye 6secs.) but is the leading points contributor by a Defenceman. (G:6 A:16 PTS:22). He also leads the team in +/- with +15. His defensive partner Marco Scandella is only 1 pts behind him. (G:5 A:16 P:21) and has a +/- of +5.
(-) Zemgus Girgensons becoming a huge issue this season for playing time. He's been out 3 times already this season with injury's (All pre-season + 18 games in the season) having him at 20 games played out of the possible 38 played already. He's got 11pts on the season (G:3, A:8), so as you can see, when healthy he is producing.
(Overall): Every player in their own right mind have contributed truly well for this team to be in the spot they're in. Considering expectations with a fully new roster basically thrown together with their NHL Draft and whatever F/A's they could bring in, this teams been nothing more but a success story so far.

Goalies
(+) Steve Mason continues to keep his head high, as he's improved yet again in all his stats this past month. Currently he's played in 28 starts going (W:16, L:9, OT:3)and has (GAA: 2.63, SV%: .913) with a total of 3 shutouts on the season (tied for 5th for most in the NHL). The team will need him to keep improving those numbers to secure any hope in a playoff berth this season.
(+) Al Montoya has been everything and more for a backup goalie any team would want. He's appeared in 10/ the 38 starts and shines no matter the result. Currently he is 5-5, which looking at that isn't something you can say "He's doing well". The other stats are where it shows. Montoya has a remarkable GAA of 2.01 (3rd best in the NHL) and has a SV% of .929 (Also 3rd best in the NHL). We wouldn't be surprised if Head Coach Adam Oates begins giving him a few extra starts down the road.
(Overall) The goalies continue to prove well performed no matter the occasion. Not too much has changed throughout the season. Both Goalies are showing they deserve time in that crease and making it easy for their coaches to know that whomever is in there, they will get the goaltending needed.

Breaking News
Dec.1.2017
Late at night Nashville's GM: Rob Blake made the call to GM: Terence Baker of the Halton Hills Elite Bulldogs with a proposal to assist both teams needs. One They both reportedly were "extremely happy" about.

Rob Black has parted ways with veteran player: James Neal.
James Neal has had an average season many would say, the risk Blake was having though was the fact James Neal could become an Unrestricted Free Agent at the end of the year. Rumours were he would be testing the market, but for professionalism, he never actually stated this. Just strictly rumours which made Rob Blake begin shopping.

That being said, in return GM: Terence Baker agreed to ship off young star forward Valentin Zykov and a 6th Round Draft Pick in next years Draft.
Zykov is a young star, with potential. He hasn't matured enough to be a huge presents on the ice, but Rob Blake must have some idea's on where he would like the kid.
