It's a funny thing, this halo effect.
I have bought every version of Franchise Hockey Manager but I have not played the game very much. I
will, someday. Now that I am retired, I will have more time to get into it. Be that as it may, though, I would and will purchase FHM6, too.
Why? Because of the halo effect OOTPB has had in my perception of any sports sim produced by this company. For the same reason, I will buy Front Office Football whenever that game is finally released.
Don't get me wrong; if OOTPD were to produce a sumo wrestling simulation, I would not be so forthcoming in parting with my money.
I do have an interest in ice hockey and American football and that I am sure is a prerequisite for me. It's just that I would not feel the need to look anywhere else for a simulation game based on these sports.
I just wish time were something that I could purchase with my money, too.
