Walkers news: June 16 -- Quad City 6, St. Louis 1

Quad City's Christian Hicks broke open a scoreless game with a three-run home run off St. Louis starting pitcher Luiz Gohara with one out in the bottom of the fourth inning to help propel Quad City to a 6-1 win at Fenway Park (1970).
The victory allowed Quad City to sweep the three-game series. St. Louis dropped to fourth in the NL South Division, and trail first place Cedar Rapids by three games.
The Thunder scored their other three runs when Derek Fisher hit a home run off River Walkers reliever Bobby Poyner in the seventh inning.
Ruppenthal kept St. Louis off the scoreboard for 5.1 innings, allowing just one hit while striking out six and walking one.
Evan Steele handled the next three innings, allowing St.Louis lone run in the top of the seventh.
Joe LaSorsa closed it out by recording the final two outs of the game.
