Walkers news: April 10 -- Twin Cities 3, St. Louis 2

Record: 7-3, 1st, 0.5 GA Des Moines
Jonathan Loaisiga allowed one run over five innings and got help from five relievers as Twin Cities down St. Louis 3-2 at the Metrodome (1996).
With the win, the Snow Cats salvaged the final game of the three-game series with the River Walkers.
Tied 1-1, Twin Cities took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth when Eloy Jimenez led off with a homer off Walkers starter Aaron Nola.
That lead grew by a run in the fourth when Josh Rolette led off with a double, moved to third on a Jean Carlos Arias single and scored when Lucius Fox got a fly ball into the outfield.
The Walkers pulled to within 3-2 in the seventh, but they should have had more.
Larry Ernesto led off the inning with a double off Cats reliever Matt Harvey but was thrown out at the plate when he tried to score from second on a Jared Thomas single.
Thomas advanced to second on the throw to the plate and scored on a single by pinch-hitter Edmond Americaan.
But St. Louis would not put another runner on base.
Tobias Meyers (1.0 IP) was the first of the Twin Cities bullpen crew to take the mound.
He was followed by Harvey (0.1) and Matt Sauer (0.2) and Joe Gatto and Thyago Vieria, who both worked an inning apiece.
The save was the third of the season for Vieria.
