Welcome to The Grand Salami, a division-less modern day baseball league that features a balanced schedule across both sub-leagues, and the DH being introduced to the NL. This league is a twist on the current MLB format, where every team must earn it's way into the playoffs regardless of where it fits in the current real-life league structure.
In addition to removing divisions, every team plays the 14 other teams in their league between 9 and 12 times a year, with 16 total interleague games during the season (looking at possibly increasing this in future seasons). Just like real-life, five teams make the playoffs from each league, with the 4th and 5th seeds playing a three-game series at the home of the 4th seed. The rest of the playoff structure remains unchanged.
As we've removed divisions, we've also decreased the range of market sizes in the league, so every team is between Average and Very Big.
