Top of the First:

Melvin Rodarte swings at the first pitch and fouls out to 3rd. Dave Risinger pops one out to shallow center that the Royals let fall for a hit. A wild pitch sends Risinger to 2nd. Jerry Grant grounds out to 2nd and Risinger moves to 3rd. Glenn Snowden draws a walk. Fernando Mexicano pops out to shallow center.

Bottom of the First:
Ricardo Gil walks the first batter he ever faces in the Major Leagues, Dennis Sabin. Gilberto Perez flies out to center. Sabin steals 2nd. Ken Manning lines out to right. Larry Laramie lines out to center!

Top of the Second:

Bill Wilson pops one out to shallow left center, just out of the reach of SS Dennis Sabin and he ends up at 2nd with a double! With 1 out, he steals 3rd. Craig Petitto strikes out... And so does P Ricardo Gil.

Bottom of the Second:
Dick Ohrn leads off by taking a 3-2 pitch for ball 4. 2 Major League innings for P Ricardo Gil and 2 lead off walks... With 1 out, Sergio de Santiago grounds a hit to left. A wild pitch moves the runners up. Let's see if the Royals do better than we did with a runner at 3rd and less than 2 outs. C Joel Brobston swings at a 3-2 pitch and misses! 2 outs. P Andy Jester grounds one to 3rd and Fernando Mexicano decides this is a good time for his first career error and throws the ball over the head of 1B Glenn Snowden and both runners score and Jester ends up on 2nd... 2 to 0, Royals. Another wild pitch sends Jester to 3rd... Dennis Sabin grounds one down to 3rd and Mexicano makes a good throw this time.

Top of the Fourth:
Bill Wilson leads off by popping out to short, but P Andy Jester has to leave the game with an injury. New Pitcher: Rick Iverson (34-L). Chong-chin Kym (33-R) is in to play 3rd in a double switch. Jack Hinckley grounds a hit to left, but that is all we get.

Top of the Fifth:
With 1 out, Dave Risinger pops a hit to left and ends up on 2nd when LF Ken Manning overruns the ball. He goes to 3rd on a ground out to short by PH Don Neumann (31-S). Glenn Snowden, who I thought they would walk, but they did not, lines a hit to center and Risinger scores! 2 to 1, Royals. Fernando Mexicano loops a hit to right center and Snowden takes 3rd without a throw. Bill Wilson grounds out to 2nd. Neumann will stay in the game to play left.

Bottom of the Fifth:
Chong-chin Kym, in his first AB of the season, leads off with a home run to center... 3 to 1, Royals.

Bottom of the Eighth:

New Pitcher: Jeff Gleason (24-R), making his season debut. With 1 out, Larry Laramie lines a hit to right. Dick Ohrn grounds a hit to right and Laramie takes 3rd. Glenn Seyler grounds out to 2nd, Melvin Rodarte making a great play, but Laramie scores. 4 to 1, Royals.
