April 17 - 1B Hilton Delaney (39-R) of New York went 5 for 5 with 2 doubles and 2 home runs and 5 RBI at home versus Washington. The Giants won, 8 to 2.
April 18 - LF Enrique Ramos (22-L) of New York had 3 hits with a triple and a home run and 5 RBI at home versus Washington. The Giants won, 12 to 4.
April 19 - LF Phil Brown (27-R) of Minnesota went 5 for 6 with a triple, scored 2 runs and had an RBI at Milwaukee. The Twins won, 11 to 2.
April 19 - John Riley (25-R) of San Diego pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Sacramento. He walked 2 and struck out 6. The Padres won, 7 to 0.
April 20 - Paul Jasper (29-R) of Minnesota pitched an 11 inning, 5 hit shutout at Milwaukee. He walked 1 and struck out 5. At bat, he hit a double. The Twins won, 1 to 0.
April 20 - Dick Chisholm (36-R) of Sacramento pitched a 4 hit shutout at San Diego. He walked 1 and struck out 3. The Solons won, 1 to 0, and only had 5 hits themselves.
April 20 - CF Clyde Lawrence (29-L) of Pittsburgh hit for the Cycle, scored 2 runs and had 3 RBI at St. Louis. He led off the top of the 11th with a double, but failed to score, so he hit a 2 out, 3 run home run in the top of the 12th. The Pirates won, 6 to 4, in 12 innings.
April 22 - Jerry Cunningham (30-L) of Atlanta pitched a 4 hit shutout at home versus Chicago. He did not walk a batter and struck out 3. The Crackers won, 1 to 0.
