April 9 - 2B Jim Holberton (23-L) of Sacramento hit 2 3-run home runs at home versus Dallas. The Solons won, 8 to 6.
April 11 - LF Brian Mosca (28-L) of San Diego hit 2 home runs at Denver, drew a walk and had 5 RBI. The Padres won, 7 to 2, their first win of the season after dropping their first 8 games.
April 11 - Keith White (25-R) of Atlanta pitched a 2 hit shutout at home versus New York. He walked 2 and struck out 8. It is his 2nd straight shutout to start the season, His 1st was a 3 hitter.
April 11 - Carlos Sandoval (25-L) of Detroit pitched a 3 hit shutout at home versus Baltimore. He walked 4 and struck out 7.
April 12 - 1B Luis Hernandez (32-R) of Seattle, the ex-Beaver, went 4 for 4 with 2 home runs, including a Grand Slam, drew a walk, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBI at Kansas City. The Rainiers won, 11 to 9. Hernandez now has 5 HR on the season in 10 games. 1B Mickey Woods (34-R) of Kansas City had 4 hits with a double, scored a run and had 5 RBI.
April 12 - Hal Kestler (24-R) of Dallas pitched a 2 hit shutout at Sacramento. He walked 1 and struck out 6. The Eagles won, 7 to 0.
April 13 - 3B Johnnie Graham (26-R) of Denver hit a double and a Grand Slam and had 5 RBI at San Antonio. The Bears won, 6 to 3.
April 13 - Bud Fields (25-R) of Los Angeles pitched a 3 hit shutout at Seattle. He did not walk a batter and struck out 8. It was his 1st start of the season. At bat, he had a hit and an RBI. The Angels won, 6 to 0.
April 13 - Sacramento lost C Terry Bass (28-R) for the season with a broken elbow. He was hitting .321/.406/.536 in 28 AB with 1 HR and 5 RBI.
April 13 - Raul Alvarado (25-L) of Montreal pitched a 5 hit shutout at home versus Philadelphia. He walked 2 and struck out 14. 141 pitches. At bat, he hit a double and drew a walk, scored a run and had an RBI. The Expos won, 8 to 0.
April 13 - Pete Kettner (34-L) of Pittsburgh pitched a 2 hit shutout at home versus Atlanta. He did not walk a batter and struck out 4. The Pirates won, 2 to 0.
April 14 - Randy Bergman (34-R) of Minnesota pitched a 4 hit shutout at Kansas City. He walked 1 and struck out 3. At bat, he had 2 hits, scored a run and had an RBI. The Twins won, 10 to 0.
April 15 - 3B Johnnie Graham (26-R) of Denver hit 2 home runs and had 5 RBI at San Antonio. The Bears scored 6 times in the 9th to win, 8 to 4.
