Hey guys,

I have a dynasty thread about my Figment League, a fictional league that is creating its own history of baseball from 1876 onwards. The plan is to do 50 years of pre-play and then continue as an online league starting with the 1926 season.

Note that the dynasty thread is actually a slightly modified version of a blog I'm running on my website that covers the pre-play period through 1909. The 1910-1925 era is under wraps until I recruit the GMs for the league. This keeps the state of the clubs themselves a mystery. The blog posts for those seasons will be revealed when the league has 16 GMs.

Here's the gist of the league:

1. 1925 ends the 50 season pre-play period
2. All the planned "Western" teams: LA, SF, Houston and Milwaukee (for market purposes) will start in other, more geographically advantageous locations, detailed below
3. GMs of the transplanted teams will be able to determine their relocation timetable starting with 1946 but not earlier *except* for Milwaukee which can move starting in 1940
4. If any of the transplants want to stay in their original city, the option to move will go to the other team(s) in their market first and then all other teams. For market purposes New York & Brooklyn are the same.
5. New markets for relocation for other teams (Washington to KC for one) will open starting in the mid-50s
6. Should the league be successful we *could* expand in the 1960s but not before

Here is the list of "pre-play period" teams:

Now for the specifics on the format within OOTP:

• No ratings, stats-only
• Scouting, obviously, is on
• Full minors for all teams (AAA, AA & A to start, more to come)
• Amateur Draft, the subleagues alternate top pick year-to-year
• High school and college feeder leagues provide out draft pool
• Draft picks can be traded
• Reserve-era finances (no free agency)
• Teams & players are fictional, the world around them is not
• The game itself (era rules) will be based on real life history
• Injuries set to Low
• Sims will run weekday mornings around 8 am ET
• Each sim covers one week of the season, offseason schedule varies a bit depending on where we are in the offseason

At the current time (I will update this as we go along) these are the available franchises:
Chicago Cougars (option to become Milwaukee in 1940)
Baltimore Clippers (can rename to Cannons or Bombers)
