SP Billy Fritts (28-L), formerly of New York, signed a 5 year contract for $11 million with Boston. He was 20-6 with a 2.33 ERA in 2001, but dropped off to 12-11 with a 3.39 ERA in 2002. He also missed the World Series with a partially torn labrum.
He's the last good starting pitcher to sign. There are a few hitters left hoping to make over a million. We will not be dipping into the market anymore.
I think we are done trading for this year, too. I have gotten rid of everyone I wanted to. At least, everyone who would bring back something of value....
