Mid-April 2025 Update:
Record: 3-6 (4th, 2 GB)

The record to start the year certainly isn't ideal, but to be fair we stared off with 7 games on the road against New York and Philadelphia, two of the top teams in the USBL. offense has been a struggle, as we're dead last in the Eastern League with a .607 OPS. Myles Fenty has returned strong from last year's injury, as he's off to a hot .276/.389/.586 start, with 2 home runs. Ben Grates had a rough few games, but the second-year outfielder has an .827 OPS to go with 2 home runs and 2 steals. The weakest links have been Jose Ariza and Corey Neu, who each are hitting well below .200 to start the season.

The biggest disappointment on the mound has probably been Min-ho Lee, as the ace has a 5.84 ERA in two rocky starts. Sergio Torres and Curt Koonts have each turned in two good starts, but in general the rotation has struggled. The back end of the bullpen has been solid - especially lefty Jeremy Townsend, who has struck out 6 of the 8 batters he has faced.

Injury Report:
SS Tony Palacios exited the first game of the season with a sore shoulder, and he was placed on the Injured List. He should be ready to go within a week, but he may not return to a starting role immediately. Mike Killian has been called up, and while his offense may be the weakest on the team, he has the potential to be the best defensive shortstop in the league. So far, he is just 2-18 with a triple and a walk since getting called up.

-The Gamblers signed lefty reliever Josh Stepp to a 2 year deal worth $25.6 million. Stepp had a 1.79 ERA for Philadelphia last year, saving 5 games.
