This card is one of the top 5 starters in the game, probably better than that.
So yes, someone will buy it. I have personally sold a 99 Jackie Robinson that I opened for 400K PP. Some people just love to win, others love collecting things. Many of them have money to burn on entertainment.
I have also spent some money because I enjoy the game, although I would never buy a card like this.
