Like the LDS, things started poorly for Waffletown in the LCS. They dropped game 1 in a pitching duel 2-0. Hoping to bounce back in game 2, they faltered again and fell 7-3. Upon returning home, management hoped the team would get a boost from their fans; but dropped game 3 and put themselves into a massive hole.
Apparently enjoying the win-or-go-home adrenaline rush, Waffletown proceeded to win game 4 to avoid the sweep; then win game 5 to send the series back to Kansas City. They kept the winning ways going in game 6 to tie up the series and make it a one game-winner take all match.
Unfortunately, their luck ran out in game 7 and they lost 8-4 to see their season come to and end.
Management looks forward to next season in the Silver league, and hope they can compete well enough to make another run in the post season.
