Despite having been shutout in three straight games, the Rangers still have scored more runs this season than two other teams in the American League. The Brewers are still a game behind the Orioles in the East as the series ends today.

According to unidentified sources, 34 year old RP Joe Horlen has asked the Oakland Athletics to trade him.

Another mixing of the lineup for Texas as the Rangers try to find something that will produce a run. Once again, it is advantage Milwaukee.

Bosman is perfect through three.

In the bottom of the third, the Rangers had the bases loaded with one out and Vic Harris drew a walk to end the scoreless streak at 34 innings. Dave Nelson added a 2 run double and Burroughs pitched in an RBI single.

After three: Texas 4 Milwaukee 0.

The Brewers got their first hit with one out in the fourth. Dave May then put the Brewers on the board with a sacrifice fly.

Bosman ended the Brewers half of the fifth by striking out Parsons to record his 60th K of the season.

After six: Texas 4 Milwaukee 1.

Dave May led off the top of the seventh with a home run, his 10th of the season. Ferraro added an RBI single to make it a one run game.

With a runner on second and two out in the bottom of the seventh, Frank Linzy came in to pitch and got the final out.

Horacio Pina was brought in to pitch the eighth and he set the Brewers down in order.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Rangers committed their third error of the game and Milwaukee loaded the bases with nobody out. A wild pitch by Pina brought in the tying run and then pinch hitter Bill Voss hit his first home run of the season. A grand slam. Casey Cox replaced Pina but the damage had been done.

Ken Sanders took the mound for Milwaukee in the ninth. Toby Harrah knocked in a run with a base hit but it wasn't enough as 4 total errors sent the Rangers to their sixth straight loss.

Final score: Milwaukee 8 Texas 5.
