In the top of the first, Burroughs was robbed of an RBI single when Lahoud threw Harrah out at home as he was trying to score from second. Howard did pick up an RBI single in the inning.

Auerbach led off the bottom of the first with a home run.

In the top of the fourth, the Rangers loaded the bases with two out. Harrah brought all three home with a triple.

In the bottom of the fourth, Heise got a run-scoring single.

In the top of the seventh, with runners at first and second and one out, Earl Stephenson took the mound for the Brewers. The first hitter he faced, Burroughs, sent the ball 328 feet for a 3 run homer.

Bill Parsons took the mound for the Brewers in the top of the eighth.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Brewers loaded the bases with one out. Auerbach then scored on a wild pitch. Theobald then scored when Briggs grounded to second.

In the bottom of the ninth, with a runner on first and two out, Horacio Pina took the mound for the Rangers. With runners at first and second, punch hitter Darrell Porter flew outto right to end the game.

The Rangers got an even dozen hits in the win.

Final score: Texas 7 Milwaukee 4.
