I think that the top performing Astro players should have been suspended for the 2020 season.
MLB thought it couldn't have an investigation without giving immunity to everyone. What? Don't these guys watch cop shows?

The way its done is you start with a lower guy who doesn't know much, and tell him (lie) that you have a lot on him. Then tell him you'll consider no charges if he tells everything he knows.

Then you go to the next guy and tell him what you know from the first guy without revealing the source and then make up some stuff and say you know it (y'know, the lie routine again) and then tell him if he confesses AND implicates others you'll reduce his sentence.

On and on until you get to the top guy and you tell him you won't ask for the death penalty if he tells you where the body... er... garbage can is buried.

Anyway, they didn't have to give everyone full immunity to crack the case (and I'm not sure they've completely cracked the case).
