Walkers news: June 27 -- St. Louis 19, Chicago 5

Record: 44-30, 2nd, 2 GB Des Moines
Jung-hwan Chung homered twice and drove in seven runs as St. Louis routed Chicago 19-6 at Wrigley Field (1979).
The lopsided win was the second in a row of the River Walkers, who took the second game of their series 10-1.
St. Louis jumped on the G-Men for four runs in the top of the second, with Chung providing the big hit a three-run homer off starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani.
His second homer came much later in the game, by which time St. Louis had the game well in-hand, his grand slam proving the Walkers' final four runs of the game.
St. Louis starter Kyle Hendrick posted a strong outing allowing one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out five and walked one.
The Walkers bullpen didn't have its best day -- especially Bobby Poyner and Kelone Kela who combined to allow five innings in just 1.1 innings -- but it didn't really matter in game where their team scored 14 runs between the sixth and eighth innings.
