Starting pitcher Chris Archer pitched into the seventh inning and Matt Duffy drove in both of his team's run as Cedar Rapids defeated St. Louis 2-1 at Busch Stadium.
Duffy put the Golden Grapplers up top in the top of the second inning wiht a solo homer off River Walkers starting pitcher Luis Gohara.
He later made it 2-0 in the sixth inning with an RBI single, also off Gohara.

His hit scored Trevor Story had singled with two outs, and moved to second on an Eduardo Escobar single.
St. Louis did get a run off Archer in the bottom of the sixth on a solo homer from Rhys Hoskins.
For the game, Archer (7-2) allowed the one run on three hits in 6.1 innings. He struck out four and walked one.
Tyler Bashlor got the final two outs of the seventh for Cedar Rapids.
Ryan Pressley tossed a scoreless eighth and Danny Grigg handled the ninth for his 17th save.
