ABL Announces Adidas Partnership

The ABL today announced a partnership with Adidas and their Global Sport Initiative. The two will work together with Baseball Australia to grow the game of baseball in Australia. Adidas will outfit all ABL teams, players, and coaches including the two new expansion teams that will be announced later this month.

Adidas' apparel deal shows that they are trying to return to the sport. Each teams sideline apparel will also come from the German company. Caps will still be provided by New Era. Adidas deal runs expires in the off season of 2022. Many believe this will subsidize and end jersey partnerships and advertising for the time being, as the contract is rumored to for the Adidas, ABL, and state governing bodies to be the only logos on the uniforms.
