I really like your ideas for league setups. I then put my own spin (can be read as weird) on them and run off on my tangent. I am having much more success with my Historical Random Debut in 19. Currently in 1906 with two unaffiliated AAA league (Eastern, Western) of 8 teams each, have not seen any fictional players yet, I think the key was to hold a free agent draft on Jan 2nd after delaying the inaugural draft. This is my test league with stats frozen to 1976, want to run 10 to 20 more years to refine my process and eliminate any unforeseen issues then start hopefully a long term league. Probably one more AAA league of 8 teams when the free agent doubles from its current 150 players.
