I got burned, as Garver doubled to the right-center gap scoring both runs.
I did finally score in the bottom of the ninth with two outs on a throwing error by Golden Grapplers third baseman Alex Bregman.
But with the tying run aboard, Danny Grigg struck out Nicky Delmonico to end it.
Cedar Rapids starting pitcher Carlos Martinez, who came into the game with an ERA over 7.00, worked seven shutout innings allowing three hits. He struck out six and walked two.
Danny Cullison and Tyler Bashlor combined on a scoreless eighth inning.
Grigg gave up that unearned run in the ninth and earned his third save.
Nola finished seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits. He struck out eight and walked two.
