March 24th, 1985
The team was facing Jim Beattie and the Pirates today, but I sat out.
We actually won, 3-2.
March 25th, 1985
I was back in the line-up facing Tom Browning and the Reds.
He struck me out to start off the game. I am hitting .231 so far this spring. There is no question that I am going to start in the minors... the question is, how low?
In the 2nd I turned a double play with Welly (Brad Wellman) off the bat of Dann Bilardello.
I came up with two out in the 3rd and hit a pathetic little dribbler back to Browning.
A couple of errors by Terry Mulholland and Jeff Leonard both ended up scoring, putting us in a hole.
I lead off in the 6th, now facing Ron Robinson, and grounded out to Tom Foley at 2nd.
Scot Thompson pinch-hit for me in the 7th.
We lost 3-2.
