Since I started making stadiums I've paid a bit more attention to expansion proposals.
I was reading an article about the expansion bids in Portland and Montreal, and it mentioned a
third campaign in Raleigh that was trying to build popular support for an expansion team there. The case is relatively convincing(ish) and they had some mock-ups for potential stadiums,
so I decided to make one that looked intriguing.
The location apparently has been marked out in the city's strategic plan as a possible location for a future sports stadium. It's an interesting spot because it''s bisected by a railroad line - hence the rooftop seats in the building on the opposite side of the tracks. It's also supposed to have a mixed-use development next to the park, which was kind of fun to build.
The park itself is relatively pitcher friendly, particularly with the deep outfield. The power alley in right is particularly deep, so get your right handed power hitters.
