2071 Season (MLB Awards)

2071 Awards:
2071 AL Boyce Rigg Award (MVP):
2B Rich Hamilton (5-Time Winner, Golden State Warriors, 30, 143rd overall pick out of Maryland in 2062. All season long Rich Hamilton gave opposing pitchers fits by hitting .319 as he collected 174 hits, 25 doubles, no triples, 28 home runs and 95 RBIs.

2071 NL Boyce Rigg Award (MVP): 1B Holly Dearaujo (Los Angeles Lakers, 31, 26th overall pick out of Kentucky in 2061). The Los Angeles first baseman put up a batting average of .338 with 30 doubles, 1 triple, 39 home runs and 120 RBIs. Holly hit two grand slams and a walk-off this year – clutch city.

2071 AL Vic Pacheco Award (Top Pitcher): SP Max Harrington (Golden State Warriors, 26, 12th overall pick out of Oklahoma in 2060). Harrington compiled a 19-6 record in 31 starts, tallied 248 strikeouts in 234.1 innings and recorded a 2.57 ERA. Other clubs managed only a .226 batting average against him.

2071 NL Vic Pacheco Award (Top Pitcher): SP E. J. Born (Pittsburgh Steelers, 28, 3rd overall pick out of USC in 2065). He dominated all season, finishing with 22 wins and 8 losses and a 2.73 ERA. In 33 starts he worked a total of 244 innings, striking out 245, while walking 50. Other clubs managed to hit only .240 against him. Mesmerized by Born's tasty 'stache, batters felt off balance every time they faced him. It's just too much sexy to handle. It's all the sexy. Plus, he has a pretty nasty cutter.
