Rookie San Diego Chargers' center fielder Leads National League to Win in Annual All-Star Game. Smith Wells shined brightly tonight against the best talent that the MLB has to offer.
The all-star was named MVP for the annual mid-season showcase held at O.co Coliseum, as his National League All-Stars downed the American League All-Stars by a count of 8-7.
"It's humbling to even play in a game like this with legends of the sport all around you," he said.
Wells went 4 for 6 to capture the honor.
