St. Louis' Jacob deGrom tossed 6.2 scoreless innings and he combined with three other relievers on a shutout as the River Walkers defeated Cedar Rapids 3-0 at Shibe Park.
deGrom scattered five hits in his time on the mound. He struck out 10 and walked one.

Jake Diekman got the final out of the seventh inning. Brad Boxberger kept the Golden Grapplers silent in the eighth inning. Andrew Miller did the same in the ninth for his fifth save.
Andrew Benintendi gave St. Louis the only run it would need in the top of the third with a solo homer -- his 29th -- off Brendan McKay in the third inning.
Adeiny Hechavarria had an RBI double in the fourth inning. Albert Almora made it 3-0 with a run-scoring single in the same inning.
