I had taken the Montreal Expos from last to first in one season. I won the NL Series and went on to the World Series against the Red Sox. I was up 3 games to 2 but was having trouble keeping their runs off the board. They took the last two games to win the World Series in 7 games. I was disappointed but pleased at my rating in the 600s and satisfied about my turnaround. I shut down my iPhone to return to it later.
The next day, I started up iOOTP, only to find that I was Bill Murray in Groundhog Day! I was back in the World Series, up 3 games to 2. This time, I didn't hesitate to yank my starter in the third inning before too much damage had been done. And I won the sixth game and the World Series!
Ordinarily, I'd consider this a tainted win but I've lost too many games (including a division title by Half A Game!) due to bugs and the infamous fat-fingered-pinch-hitting-substitution. Finally, one came out in my favor!
And, this time, I was going to savor it!
There's no point in describing more about the situation because there's no way I could duplicate it. But it was interesting that, in the previous game universe, three players made the Hall Of Fame while, in the new one, only two did
