What a strange game. Fred Mitchell pitched incredibly well before having to leave the game in the 9th with a hamstring problem. And then, after the game being a nail-biter, Hi West walked Miller Huggins with the bases loaded to give the Superbas a 2-1 walk-off win over the Reds.

Mitchell should be fine in time for his next start.

Danny Murphy had the day off.

WP - Christy Mathewson (22-5)
LP - Hi West (1-1)

Record - 72-44

The Doves also won and still trail by one game.
