Veteran right-hander Reece Vaughan has put together a pretty impressive career, including back-to-back 19 win seasons in 1969 and 1970, but with few accolades to show for it, outside of 3 All-Star squad picks and 1 championship ring (with Jacksonville in 1973). But he has now won the Pitcher of the Month honors 8 times in his career, including this just completed month in the SJL.
In the MGL, the honors go to the Brewers Sadahige Kawasaki who had a nearly perfect month and in spite of having an uninspiring win-loss record has certainly gotten himself into the Pitcher of the Year conversation at this stage of the season.
