2064 Season (Bush League)

October/November 2064:
Bush League (Indy): The Dearborn Dilly’s, winners of 69 regular season tilts, managed to rise up from the wild card play-in to win the 2064 BLS in exciting fashion as they took down the defending champion Coney Island Footlongs 4-2.

2064 BL Playoffs:
Championship: Dearborn defeats Coney Island (4-2)
Semi-Finals: Coney Island defeats Columbia (3-2); Dearborn defeats Nolanville (3-2)

Bush League Player of the Year: 1B Marc Knoles (Columbia, 33, 109th overall pick out of Stanford by Orlando City in 2052 (200K Signing Bonus)). Knoles played six solid seasons for the Los Angeles Galaxy, recovering from his failures in Orlando’s development system to realize his dream. He retired at the end of the 2064 season on his terms. The 33-year-old first baseman for Columbia churned out a .322 batting average while amassing 167 hits, 40 doubles, 2 triples, 35 home runs, 112 runs and 111 RBIs. Great way to call it a day – even if it was in the Bush Leagues!

Bush League Pitcher of the Year: SP Jayvion Jarret (Nolanville ‘Naughts, 33, 76th overall pick out of Georgia Tech by the Philadelphia 76ers in 2053 ($307K Signing Bonus)). He spent 6 years in the Philadelphia bullpen and posted a 4.25 ERA for his career. Over the last three years he’s enjoyed his time in Bush League where he played for the Naperville Nibblers (1 season) and the Nolanville ‘Naughts (2 seasons). He started 28 games and compiled a 13-6 record with an ERA of 2.20 in 155.1 innings with 161 strikeouts and retired from the game with his head held high.
