2001 Mariners in Historic Exhibiton

Something is a bit screwy with the Historic Exhibition. Just to brush up my manager skills, I played a Historic Exhibition against the 1961 Phillies. A patsy right? Or at least it should have been. In the first game the Mariners struck out 12 times. I looked at the ratings and Edgar Martinez, Brett Boone and John Olerud were all listed as 30 contact hitters. All three of those guys batting over .300 that season.

So I loaded the 2001 season, and all of the stats are correct in that. I admit I have not played the Historic Exhibition much, but what is up with that? Am I missing something? Did I forget to click on something?
