Tonight, the Colt .45s try to avoid being swept by the Dodgers in the final game of this three game series in Los Angeles. The Colt .45s have lost four straight. The Dodgers have won three straight.

Williams was perfect through three.

In the bottom of the third, Roseboro scored on a Wills sacrifice fly to put the Dodgers on the board. Gilliam followed with an RBI double.

After three: Los Angeles 2 Houston 0.

In the top of the fourth, Spangler broke up the perfect game with a two out triple.

Howard led off the bottom of the fourth with a home run. The Dodgers then loaded the bases with one out. Williams grounded into the 6-2 fielder's choice for the second out. Wills singled to bring home a run. Gilliam then flew to right to end the inning.

In the bottom of the sixth, with runners at second and third and one out, Dave Giusti took the mound for the Colt .45s. For the second time in the game, Wills brought Roseboro home with a sacrifice fly.

After six: Los Angeles 5 Houston 0.

Jim Golden took the mound for the Colt .45s in the bottom of the eighth.

Williams went on to record the complete game shutout.

Final score: Los Angeles 5 Houston 0.
