Tonight, the Colt .45s begin a seven-game road trip with a three game series in Los Angeles against the Dodgers. The Dodgers have gone 9-3 so far in the month of May. The Dodgers lead the season series 3-1.

In the top of the first, Larker singled with runners at the corners to score Buddin from third and Spangler went on to score from first on a Davis throwing error on the play.

In the bottom of the second, the Dodgers loaded the bases with nobody out. Roseboro beat out the 3-6-3 to pick up an RBI. That was the Dodgers only run of the inning.

In the bottom of the third, the Dodgers loaded the bases with two out. On a full count pitch, Davis drew a walk to force in the tying run. Roseboro then flew to left to end the inning.

After three: Houston 2 Los Angeles 2.

In the top of the fourth, the Colt .45s loaded the bases on three straight walks with one out. Farrell flew to left for the second out. Amalfitano then grounded to third to retire the side.

In the bottom of the fifth, Howard put the Dodgers in the lead with an RBI triple.

In the bottom of the sixth, Spencer added to the Dodgers lead with an RBI single. Wills then brought Spencer home with a single.

After six: Los Angeles 5 Houston 2.

After a leadoff single in the bottom of the eighth, Jim Golden took the mound for the Colt .45s.

The Dodgers ended up with 11 hits in the victory.
